Raising Safeguarding Concerns Protocol

We are currently gathering feedback and editing this protocol, and there may be errors or bad wording. Please only use this protocol with caution, and if other organisations have definitive protocol, use that instead.

If anyone (young person or adult) within QueerCare has a safeguarding concern, they can speak to any of the Safeguarding Leads or Deputies (whoever they feel most comfortable talking to). They can do this by DMing them on Slack (Leads: slack names of leads; Deputies: slack names of deputies), Signal or via email (Leads: leads email; Deputies: deputy email). Alternatively, they can fill in this form (asking for your name, preferred way to contact you, and whether you have a preference of who contacts you); one of the leads or deputies will then contact them.

The Safeguarding leads and deputy leads will then follow the ‘How Safeguarding Leads and Deputy Leads Respond To Safeguarding Concerns Protocol’.
